What is the Barrett and Coe Guarantee of Quality?
A standard of excellence must be achieved by each Member of the Barrett & Coe Photographers Network. They must:
•Achieve a high level of photographic competence before qualification as a Barrett & Coe Photographer.
•Abide by procedures and requirements for customer service and etiquette as set out by Barrett & Coe.
•Ensure that products supplied by them to their clients have been quality-checked and quality-maintained by Barrett & Coe.
•Attend regular training days to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in social photography.
•Be Members of either The Master Photographers Association (MPA) or The British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP).
Who can be included in the sitting?
For a baby shoot you can include Mum and Dad as well as the baby. If you'd like the baby's brothers, sisters or grandparents to be included that's fine too but the majority of the pictures will be of your baby.
Is there an age limit for the baby?
Yes, under twelve months.
How long will the shoot take?
30 minutes is usually plenty of time for the photography.
What should we wear for a portrait sitting?
‘Bumps and Babies’ photography is usually in black and white.
Young babies require support and comfort; therefore we often photograph them on Mum’s shoulder, so, for Mum, either a short sleeved t-shirt or a strapless top looks best. Dark tones work better than light.
For babies, being unclothed is often best. If you have an outfit that you would like your baby to wear we can certainly incorporate it into the shoot. It is best to avoid light tones and patterned clothes.
What happens after the shoot?
We will book in a convenient time for you to return to view your photographs. I prepare a slideshow of your images and give you chance to select your favourites. I will talk you through all the options available and order them for you. The viewing usually takes about an hour.
How long will my prints take to arrive?
They will be ready for you to collect from the studio within 28 days of your order.
